It Wasn't Easy, But it Was Fun

Shalom:

If you ever have a chance to go to a Murder Mystery, by all means go.

And they are even more fun to host.

This is the second one Mark and I have attended and by the same couple. The first was a Wild West Theme. This time was the Rockers and Movie stars of the 80s.

Dispite the title, they are non-violent. You spend the evening going over clues with food, drink and other players to find out who the murder is.

And sometimes, there is more than one murder :)

There are so many theme and they can be as tame or as wild as you wish. There are now games for teens and children. Great idea for anniversaries, birthdays, bridal showers, etc.

Frankly, knowing Mark and I, the characters we were asked to protrait were not easy. The research was dark, creepy and gave us both nightmares. The sites we visited and the articles we read were black and held the air of death. There was a different feel, a different spirit. And for all the laughs and fun we had, this is as close the dark side Mark and I ever wish to get. Ozzy and Elivra were fun, but so hard for they are everything we are not.

Or are they?

Yes, we are children of Light; they are children of the Darkness.

They are judged for their life style, attire and beliefs that seem against the norm.

They are comfortable in their own skin and really don't care what others think of them and when you are with them, there is never a dull moment.

You know where they stand and what they stand for.

Funny that sounds like Mark and I.

polar opposites for sure but true that they have their beliefs and you/Mark have your own true beliefs; interesting you guys got assigned them too. we can only hope they will come one day to know the Truth :)

I have heard of mystery parties. Where we used to live in Montana, they occasionally did things like this for fundraisers for this or that, but never went to or participated with one

Looks like you all had a blast! Fun times!

Keep in mind that Ozzy and Elvira are entertainers, and often "in character." Well, Ozzy is definitely a little messed up from years of hard living, but that whole "Prince of Darkness" thing is nothing more than marketing. And "Elvira" is very much a character...I forget the actress's name, Cassandra-something, but she's just playing a character.

Hey, that's what you guys did, too! So you have even more in common! ;)

Hugs, Beth
